I know it's been done, but best foundation?

I have vouchers to use and have decided to spend them on some really decent froundation. I am 26, have OKish skin but am looking tired as I have a 17 month old who has never slept through . I have been using some Max Factor stuff which is OK but doesn't last all day. I don't want something that's going to age me, but something that offers enough coverage without being too heavy. Ideally I'd like somewhere to give me a little sample to take away but how realistic is that? I've lost count of the number of times I've picked a bottle, thought 'that'll do' but got home to realise it's not right but used the lot out of guilt.

double wear light is better if you apply it with a sponge - save your sample for a night out!
