ok ladies, i need something to wear for DH's work christmas night out!
it'll probably be something along the lines of meal out and then drinking in some fairly trendy places. - it's his graduate intake meal out not an official work one.

this time last year i was trying really hard not to throw up during the night out as i was 20 weeks pregnant!

i'm 28, 5 foot 2, size 10ish, short legs and pancake boobs post BF!

thanks in advance fashion gurus!

Budget?

Colours you like?

Do you have shoes you are thinking of wearing?

mrsflux · 06/11/2009 10:42

budget is probably £50 for top/ dress don't mind spending bit extra for trousers/ tights etc.
i like most colours but would avoid yellows, oranges, pinks. blues and purples look quite good and there seems to be quite a lot of these around ATM.
shoes are a bit limited - i have a nice pair of tan/brown coloured heels but could treat myself to a new pair if thew weren't too dear.

thanks!

Sorry 1 says tall, might be tricky, you may want to stick to certain shops... French Connection and Joy both good for slightly shorter style dresses that work for us shorties.

momijigari · 06/11/2009 12:26

UK silk but casual looking.

momijigari · 06/11/2009 12:28

pretty

momijigari · 06/11/2009 12:31

satin mini dress probably best with leggings and platform style shoe boots

momijigari · 06/11/2009 12:37

dressed up without being too formal

some lovely suggestions momijigari! very glam!
think i'll have a look as we're going out to the shops as DS is driving me mad crawling into the fireplace!
think i'll try some thick tights or leggings as my legs are permanently a bit bruised!

good luck, I cannot shop with my children, become frustrated, sweaty and harassed within 5ft of any shop...
