Anyone got/seen a powerful hairdryer over 3000W? Hairdresser says I need one (thick hair takes hours with normal one) but can't find one online. And what's the 'ionic' hairdryer buzz thing at the moment - waste of time or sensible?

Go to your local Sally Salon supplies place. I bought a Babyliss one from there for about £30. Has the ionic thing too - stops hair getting static-y when you are faffing around trying to use brushes etc whilst blow drying.

Look for a brand called Parlux. They sell them in Sally but you may also get them on line somewhere else too. They are apparently the mutts nuts of hairdryers and are commonly used in salons.
