What do teenage boys wear in bed..........???

Yesterday DH was trying to find Pjamas for DS

And all the shops seemed to have NOTHING for 11-12 years

Found some in M&S

DS loves STAR WARS so is chuffed with his new ones.

Wanted long sleeved/long trousers etc.

Lovely ones in M&S but wanted cheap ones for him to take on school trip so it doesn't matter if he looses them etc.

BUT what do they wear?

I buy my ds small mens - he is 11, but about 5ft 3inches, It is the t-shirt short type - ASDA do them.

BHS is usually good for boys of that age - as they go up to 35" chest

He tried Asda and BHS

Nothing there

Apart from SIMPSONS which I HATE

THe ones from M&S are lovely but @ £17 more expensive than wanted to spend {we need two sets}

most teenage boys i know wear boxers in bed or a t-shirt.

Have you tried Primark, Kanga? They do really cheap PJs.

I said that to DH about boxers

DS is only just 10 and still likes the cuddly feel of proper PJs. He is tall though.

Primark are in shopping mall perhaps will try there

Oh sorry, just saw you've been to Asda.

Matalan have some with Batman on IIRC - any good? Also random football-ish designs. (Also The Incredibles but they only seemed to go up to 6-7 or 8-9.) Their sizes run 10-11 and 12-13 though, don't know if that's a problem? They never get many 12-13s in either.

(DS2 has been sleeping in boxers since he was about 9, I always look longingly at pjs!)

both my DSs wear only boxers to bed ! They are 11.5 & 13

Matalan is a good idea not in mall but in next town

I guess he will have to get used to Boxers or small men

It is quite hard to buy nice smart-casual clothes for that age group as well, Kanga - be prepared for a couple of frustrating years. (Sporty stuff is easy - just scour Sports Soccer!)

DS2(12) is just about tall enough now for small men's T-shirts (especially the way I wash 'em!) but trousers are still a problem. Next go up to 15-16 in theory, but not in the shops and he needs to try things on.

Jan we had a really maddening time in LA trying to buy DS a RL shirt

In dept stores they had boys up to 9 years and then men

We were told there wasn't any dept for 10 year old boys

In the end we went to a RL shop and got a lovely one.

Went to Sports soccer last week to get 2 pairs of tracksuit trousers.

Get trousers in GAP cos of adjustable waist he has a bit of round tummy

He only has short legs though in comparison to body IYSWIM

DS2 is getting a tummy - he used to be dead skinny, I'm hoping this is just puppy fat but meanwhile things are a bit tight round his middle. I love Gap but our nearest one is in Mancs I think A RL shirt would be very popular - will have to try TKMaxx, I can't think where else we'd find one of those.

Another goodish place for boys' stuff is ebay but of course you can't try things on. And also I bought a BNWT Lonsdale T-shirt from there, age 13-14, but when it came it had obviously been wrongly labelled and was only about 7-8! Aero kindly took it off my hands, bless her. But in future I think I'll ask for actual measurements before I buy anything.

Er.... their girlfriends?

have you got a Matalan nearby? Or a Primark?

Boxers or loose shorts. You could buy shorts and tees from sport/soccer and just use them as PJs?
