Have you worked out your face shape???

been trying to do this all my life- it is in between round and square but san't tell. All the websites say trace round your face in the mirror- but how? Doesn't seem to work when I try!

My forehead and jaw are the same width almost-forhead slightly wider than jaw which equals square- but my chin and jaw are almost on the same level, which makes it look round!

In other words, which ever way up you turn my face, I reckon it would look the same!

Help! I am trying to find a new hairstyle online as well as talking to my hair dreseer, and just can't seem to do it.

anyone know of any websites that work out our face shape, rather than just giving you wigs nad make overs? or a fool proof way towork out your face shape?

Ronaldinhio · 01/11/2009 18:32

sorry I meant try tracing with lipstick on mirror
my face is round like a full mooon

AvengingGerbil · 01/11/2009 18:33

I also have a completely circular face. Pudding style.

Ronaldinhio · 01/11/2009 18:33

bloody hell copycat posting now

MadameDuBain · 01/11/2009 18:33

OP - you have the same face shape as me, ie one that never seems to fit any of those categories. (Actually maybe mine is just an amoeba-like blob.) But I gave up trying ages ago as I suspect it is all a load of bolleaux anyway.

Just ask your hairdresser what would suit you.

herjazz · 01/11/2009 20:02

is pretty evident to anyone even with limited vision what my head shape is.. plenty of em were being carved yesterday

hehe us roundheads are the only confident responses to this post

KnottyLocks · 01/11/2009 20:06

Mine is square. No doubt. Only time it looked round was in late stages of 1st preg, when I was size of a wildebeast.

KnottyLocks · 01/11/2009 20:09

If you have a full face photo of yourself, try drawing around your profile.

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 20:11

full moon here too. actually my jaw is square across the bottom. I'm quite the cover girl

GladysFox · 01/11/2009 20:20

Mine is heart shaped I think.

DH says it's like an upside down pear. Excuse me while I thump him...

KnottyLocks · 01/11/2009 20:20

David Coultard - he's a square. D'you look like him?

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 21:13

Not qyuite THAt square thank god.

Cobblers · 01/11/2009 21:15

Moonhead here too.

MadameDuBain · 01/11/2009 21:20

Rofl at actually looking like David Coulthard

If you did, is your hairdo really going to fix matters?

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 21:39

blimey thats a scary face .

I remember , under the advice of JUST 17 magazine to draw round my face shape on a mirror with lipstick. it came out the size and shape of a cashew nut

momijigari · 01/11/2009 21:52

LOL, no idea here.

Hassled · 01/11/2009 21:56

Is there a name for a shape taht's straight at the sides, slightly pointy at the bottom and vaguely curved at the top? Because that's your bog standard face shape, I reckon.

Nobody's face looks like a square. Unless they're SpongeBob. And he may well be a rectangle.

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 21:57

this doesn;t help at all

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 21:59

blimey this just complicates things further

bodycolder · 01/11/2009 22:02

I am a heart apparently whatever that is

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 22:03

Thats Kate Moss's face shape and the best one to have apparently.

fishie · 01/11/2009 22:05

i am an oval it seems.

all the actresses on sky tonight are very square jawed.

bodycolder · 01/11/2009 22:10

I am nothing like her mores the pity

purplepeony · 01/11/2009 22:42

I still don't know! I have spent all night with a tape measure doing the across your face, down your face, etc etc- DH says it is not round and not square. All I know is that I look best in dangly earrings as they make my face look longer. And my chin and jaw seem to much on the same level. And my face looks wide....bleh...
