sorry didn't realise caps lock, can't bothered to change now - apols for shouting

this

or DKNY thing

am thinking:
splendid looks longer at back and shorter at front thann cozy - good thing - more bum coverage, less annoying front flappage

half the price

machine wash rather than dry clean

what do you think

LTEC, do you have a TK Maxx nearby?

I just remembered that I have a James Lakeland cardi v similar to those you are looking at which is gorgeously soft and scrummy to wear. It is an angora mix. Was a bargainous £25 reduced from around £100 I think. Their stores are full of drapey knitwear at the moment.

I do, I do ... but just can't face it, not with the 3 Monstateers...

would rather pay more and preserve my sanity! Otherwise any savings will just promptly get frittered on facial fillers to plump out the shrew-in-shop-screaming-at-kids furrows!!

okay, they all arrived today

The Crumpet one feels divinely soft but unsatisfyingly insubstantial - I'm sure that's the mark of good cashmere but it just doesn't make me want to pay £200ish. And the style is pretty nothing, too - no wow factor there

ditto the Pure - a heavier, thicker feel but again, librarian-ish in style. Doesn't feel special enough to warrant the price tag

the DKNY one looks good, feels good and is longer at the back than I thought it would be. Does not flap. But did not come with alternate tying instructions - anyone know if you can get these online??

Note to self - listen to Choo in future! she's been telling me to get the cozy for ages!!

I do this all the time, want something, weigh up all the pros and cons, spend ages looking for alternatives, then ALWAYS end up buying the original thing I wanted. The amount of energy expended in this process amazes me, but I still do it every time!

Enjoy your cozy!

My other guru! You've been pushing me in the direction of the cozy for ages too VB- thank you!

Not sure whether you saw my msg on the other thread but very very pleased for you about your coat

Thanks! I love it, it has made such a difference to my life!

Was thinking of you today, tried on grey cashmere hoodie in Gapkids, pretty gorgeous, pockets, stitching at elbows, only 65 pounds, but the grey did nothing for me. I can so see you in it though! The 10-11 fitted me fine, it goes up to 13 I think.

How's life with 3? I'm sure your loving it!

Got to go to bed, will have circles under my eyes tomorrow!

There were loads of cozys at Bicester today and they have been reduced from £99 to £69. They had black, grey, beige, navy and blue.

Verity....it never occurred to me that you could get clothes in gap kids. What size are you in adult clothing? What does age 13 equate to roughly? Size 8?

Rosa, I'm an 8/10, and the jacket XXL(age 13 I think) jacket fits, but the same size in the jumper was very baggy. I am short though, only 5'3".

Actually I buy quite a lot of basics in kids depts, much cheaper! Age 12-13 in mini boden fits me fine, I got lovely breton t-shirts there last year, and a gorgeous gold cardigan in the last sale.

There has to be some advantage to being small

That's such a good idea. I'm tall(ish) though so I guess it would only work with short sleeved things?

LTEC - I'm meeting her for lunch tomorrow so will ask.
