What shoes and bra with this dress? I am stuck!

I have bought this dress to wear on a night out

www.next.co.uk/shot.asp?extra=sch&b=G45&p=2026&s=3&n=Women&pid=474-601&exclude=00A00&returnurl=%2fsh op%2fgattcolour%2fpink%2fgattgender%2fwomen%2fcat%2fdresses%2f0%3fnxti%3d0%26nxtv%3d0%26isort%3dglob alpop&bct=%26quot%3bShop%20By%20Product%26quot%3b%26nbsp%3b%26gt%3b%26nbsp%3bPink%26nbsp%3b%26gt%3b% 26nbsp%3bWomen%26nbsp%3b%26gt%3b%26nbsp%3bDresses

I need some nice new shoes to wear with it, but not too high because I am quite tall and can't walk in them either

Also, need a bra to wear under it. You can't see through it at the front, but the back is just pale pink chiffon and really see through. White bra looks awful. So should I be buying a nude colour bra, or pink? I have quite large norks so the straps are not tiny and pretty. I dont think one of those bras that cross over lower in the back will be low enough to wear with the dress, so will have to be a normal bra.

Please help! I need to wear the dress the weekend after next.

I like the dress.

Are you able to get to the shops for underwear. If you take the dress to a good lingerie department, they'd sort you out.

MrsTittleMouse · 26/10/2009 21:02

What about a stick on bra? I was sceptical, but they were really good on me when I was a DD/E cup. I wore two on each breast for extra security. I would recommend a trial-run first though, as it would be a bit of a disaster if you were allergic to the adhesive!

Not so good now I'm an H cup, mind.

triffictits · 26/10/2009 21:04

I haven't tried those stick on bras. I am an E/F cup. Where do you get them from?

I could take the dress out to town and see if i get sorted.

Also another dilema i have is my legs...I am white so can't go bare legged. Flesh coloured tights?

Ligerie departments of big department stores usually have them.

Have you thought about fishnet tights? It's quite a flirty dress and so would add to that vibe.

triffictits · 26/10/2009 21:10

oooh fishnet tights? No, I hadn't thought about them and to be honest have never ever worn them - do you think they would look good with that dress and plain black shoes?

OP posts:
MrsTittleMouse · 26/10/2009 21:13

DH loves I love fishnet tights. And I think that they would work well with that dress as it's flirty, but not too short or low cut. So it wouldn't tip over the edge into slutty. Unless that's what you want, of course.

RamblingRosa · 26/10/2009 21:24

This is great in the nude colour.

Or you could get a nice strappy vest or camisole in a pale pink/nude colour and then you could get away with pretty much any bra underneath.

triffictits · 26/10/2009 21:30

No I dont want slutty DP would love the fishnets though

I had thought about a camilsole or something Rosa, I think I may end up with one. Where can I get a nice one?

M&S? Figleaves? Debenhams?

Just noticed this thread and thought I'd join in if it's not too late. It may be a bit late for this occasion but for future reference if you want nice undies try looking at Bravissimo. They are online and also advertise on TV. I find their stuff really good, fits me well and they also do clothing as well as underwear so if you have bigger boobs (I am a size 14 and 34e) the clothes are made to fit specially well. They have some nice dressy clothes as well as daytime stuff too. Good luck, the dress you picked is lovely, have you thought about maybe black patent shoes/sandals? Dressy but not OTT.

triffictits · 27/10/2009 21:18

Thanks for suggestions, am thinking black patent shoes and maybe a camilsole under the dress.

I do get my bras from Bravissimo normally redwiner, just wasnt sure what to do as I didnt want bra straps on show under sheer top.
