Yay or nay?

I actually got it for £59 from the Radley store in Bicester Village...so even cheaper. I'm wavering now...I do spend my life worrying far too much about what other people think...

People are more critical when you invite them to give you their opinon on something, because they are saying 'no that wouldn't be my perfect bag', but I bet if their friend turned up with that bag on her arm, they'd still say, oooh that's nice, lessava look!!

thesleepyprincess · 26/10/2009 17:42

Yes that's true...I've also taken off the little spotty purse (removable) so the bag is much less fussy...and it has sooo many compartments and pockets which is just what I need...I'm v confused now!!

I love the flower pattern and the little polka dot purse - love it! And I need bags with a strap too as i'm a cyclist and my panniers are always FULL!

andlipsticktoo · 26/10/2009 17:44

I''m tempted myself!

MaggieBruja · 26/10/2009 17:46

Keep it! that's an order! You could traipse around the outlet village ten times and never find a bag that you love that gets the mn approval!

And anyway, it's all kidn of random. If you'd psted 25 minutes later perhaps a different bunch of people would have come along and said yeah, lovely.

I'm going to stop trying to persuade you to keep it now or people will think I work for radley!! I don't!!

thesleepyprincess · 26/10/2009 17:46

It does look much nicer in RL than in the photo, I must say. And it's beautifully made...pale pink inside and leather trims.

MaggieBruja · 26/10/2009 17:51

Sniff it. Tell me if it smells like leather.

thesleepyprincess · 26/10/2009 17:57

Oh yes...I noticed the leather scent as soon as I picked it up in the shop.

Its ok, not my style though

SilentBob · 26/10/2009 18:01

Another nay, sorry. I properly dislike Radley though, so listen not to me!

sowhatis · 26/10/2009 18:02

no from me.

pipWereRabbit · 26/10/2009 18:03

I like Radley bags - but they do seem to go a bit wrong every now and then. Sorry, I'm not keen on the original link - but some of the oterhs are lovely.

Quattrofangs · 26/10/2009 18:05

Nay. A big nay.

MrsJohnDeere · 26/10/2009 18:14

Some of their bags are nice but this isn't one of them, imho.

Don't feel ashamed slimeoncrazydemon. My mother bought one of the Grosvenor shoulder bags last week when the new store opened in Cardiff. It is lovely with gorgeous lining. I'm hoping she'll decide its too big for her and give it to me . I had one of the Radley small messenger bags when they first came out and loved it. I'm now using one of the larger messenger ones (passed down from mother!) I'm not too keen on the colourful ones with the embroidery/pictures etc. on but the plain ones are great with lots of useful pockets/compartments. I only ever use cross the body type bags - couldn't bring myself to carry a 'handbag' or one of those daft things on my arm.

thesleepyprincess · 26/10/2009 18:28

Now I think about it, I can't think of any of my friends' bags that I really like. They (the bags, not my friends!) vary wildly in design and colour etc. So maybe a bag is a very personal thing really and it's pointless to ask for a show of hands?

Maggie - I need someone like you in my life telling me to stick to my guns!! I am a wimp

Absolutely princess...

and even though i love going for coffee and lucnh with friends, I actually prefer to shop for clothes alone.

Btu then, when it comes to stuff for the house, I am hopeless. I need permission to like it!

miche8 · 27/10/2009 10:53

i like the first bag, wondering if it would be suitable as a baby changing bag?

MORgueOSKY · 27/10/2009 11:32

No, can't bear radley bags, but even so it is not nice

CybilWrites · 27/10/2009 11:46

RAdley bags so too too mumsy

MissWooWoo · 27/10/2009 11:53

erm, not my cup of tea

thesleepyprincess · 27/10/2009 17:15

Update - today I exchanged the first one I linked to for this one images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=farm4.static.flickr.com/3067/3322429650_464a9a18ce.jpg%3Fv% 3D0&imgrefurl=flickr.com/photos/28218658%40N07/3322429650/&usg=__Wdtk7NI6hugAvHdrjz-ho-A3Hz8= &h=300&w=300&sz=11&hl=en&start=7&um=1&tbnid=kq19jfvqf8hqEM:&tbnh=116&tbnw=116&prev=/images%3Fq%3Drad ley%2Bblyth%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1G1GGLQ_ENUK288%26sa%3DG%26um%3D1

If that link works it'll be amazing!!
I am very very happy and I have no doubt that my new bag is Really Me. [smeile]

I like it. It's like Samantha Cameron's 'Nancy'.
