If you owned these boots, what would you wear?

Hi. I'm relatively new to this topic, although have been lurking for a while. I've fallen in love with these boots, but my practical and sleep deprived (DD, 8 wks old) parts of my brain tell me it is stupid as I would have; a) no reason to wear them and; b) nothing to wear with them.

So over to you wise bunch to help me with the answer to part b, please.

Wow, they are brilliant.

Buy them, and if you can't find anything to wear with them, keep them in the corner of the living room and just stroke them from time to time...

ps: under no circumstances allow the baby to be sick on them!!

vvvodka · 23/10/2009 22:15

i dont like them very much. dont get me wrrong, i love shoes of all descriptions, and boots and purple ones too. but i dont htink these are anything particularly fabulously special.

but, if you like them and need a reason to wear them, then the reason is simple. you gave b irth 8 weeks ago, to a beatuiful baby, therefore deserve a treat.

Oh dear - they look like something that The Sweet might have worn. Sorry.

TanyaBranning · 23/10/2009 22:32

A big curly wig, lots of face paint and a bow tie that squirts water?

Ivykaty44 · 23/10/2009 22:56

its the sort of thing you would have worn in your youth tanya go on admit it before the girls and max

pointyhat · 23/10/2009 23:13

oh I lo ve tbose boots.

I would wear them with a shortish straight green skirt I have as I like green and purple.

FlopemOut · 24/10/2009 08:21

OK I've ordered them - I guess I can always send them back if I look ridiculous in them. Now off to spend a few pennies to buy something to go with them...

love them! skinny jeans? denim skirt? if you don't like the boots can I have them? [grin}

ChickandDuck · 24/10/2009 08:30

I love them. If you need to send them back, ask me for the address, it's only me that knows this 'special' address

FlopemOut · 27/10/2009 21:33

Oh no! The boots arrived today and they don't fit. They are meant to be knee length but they are a terrible fit on me - too short and really baggy on the ankles.

I'm off to search for more purple boots!

Lovely dh has just bought me these purple darlings, I like the slightly biker-y element of the straps, plus it means they are easier to fit different sized calves into.

Elemental · 27/10/2009 22:21

oops, link!

Hmm. I might avoid Fly - I suspect all of their long boots may be a bad fit on me. Hope you enjoy your boots - they look great.
