What is good to buy in the No7 range?

I have one of those Boots £5 off No7 vouchers - what shall I put it towards?

And if you don't like the Boots own brand stuff you can take it back.

Really? Because the mascara and blusher really are rubbish.

Bugger I just bought a mascara, what's wrong with it? I got a free eyeshadow palette with it and then another £5 voucher.

The eyeshadow in Truffle is the nicest one ever.

I got that new mascara precisely because I wanted the eyshadow palette - it's lovely (the eyeshadow - has a brush not a sponge applicator and has a little mirror in the lid - and the colours are lovely too). The mascara is a bit meh, the brush is massively thick and I think maybe I need to get used to using it.

I gave the eyeshadow to dd1 as I didn't like that either - too shiny and not a patch on Mac.

The mascara wand is sooooooooooooo huge that it just makes a mess everywhere: it's horrible. My eyes are just not big enough to open wide enough to use it.

I don't have a receipt though - would they do anything if I took it back and said I didn't like it?

I like shiny.

You don't need a receipt to prove you bought it from them, it's not on sale anywhere else.

So I just say, "Oi - this is pants" and then they give me my money back?

I ahve taken back make up that I have been really disappointed with and got refund.

I like the Protect and Perfect - and they do a good eye thing, Time Resisting I think it is. It is two creams, day one side and night the other. It is better than Clinique All About Eyes, has really helped reduce circles, puffs and wrinkles 'fine lines'.

I agree with the mascara- I nearly poked my eye out (a la BNP leader) and it stinks of fish.
I took mine back and I got a refund.

Tell the No 7 consultant your mascara smells of fannies in a really loud voice.

They will give you anything you want.

i also like the "smoulder" lipstick, it is the only red i can wear

but it has no staying power like my DH

Been a long time since I got close enough to one to smell it though so maybe the memory isn't so good y'know

I liked the mascara. I know what you mean about the huge brush, but I have camel like lashes so it's not a problem for me Didn't smell any type of seafood.

Right - I took it back but she wouldn't do anything because I didn't take the free eyeshadow too. DD likes the eyeshadow and wanted to keep it but woman in shop said if I wanted money back I had to bring the eyeshadow in for her to through in the bin because otherwise I've got something for free. Sounds bloody stupid to me, so I'm giving dd the mascara too and going to Clinique instead.

Will never buy from Number 7 again, apart from brushes.

UPDATE I sniffed my mascara,earlier on, and it does smell of fish.

Nice.

The sheer lipstick range is great. Think of a colour that you don't think you can wear (for me that's red), try their sheer version of it and discover you can.

I also like their moisturising foundation.

Mascaras and the protect & perfect range disappointing.
