Hair dying question

Fancy a bit of a temporary change and was wondering if I can put dark dye over my blonde highlighted mousey hair? Or will it all go horribly wrong?

You can certainly go dark, but if you change your mind and want to be blonde again, it will be difficult. And expaensive, as you can't do that at home.

What shade were you thinking of? I'm medium/dark brown and keeping it without redish tones is hard work, but doable.

So I can't do one of those wash out in 8 wash type things? (Not even sure they exist anymore. Haven't dyed my own hair for about 20 years...)

Hmm, not certain, I have been using permanent for a long time, so not au fait with wash outs!

Hopefully someone else will know more...
