these ones in a lovely slate grey

They're a bit expensive (understatement of century) but I think I'll feel less guilty if I have them for Christmas.

Anyone got some and can make me feel better about my extravagant purchase?

Have just knelt down. No problemo. Feet a-bending fully with no restrictions.

Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 19:07

sadly no bogof . I tried to woozle a discount from them on the phone as I am a respected customer, or whatever guff them put on the letter with the catalogue, but no go.

omdb should have a after my retort. You knows I loves you, in a formal non hunlike fashion. I don't own one of everything you know.

overmydeadbody · 22/10/2009 19:17

I know I know. You just like your comfort don't you

Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 19:21

Well I like to take the edge off, you know, sleeping on the ground outside or having freezing cold ice blocks for feet.

You know I don't have a tent carpet right?

overmydeadbody · 22/10/2009 19:29

Well, that is what you say

But I'd put money on you having one by next summer

As I said, slippery slope

LaurieScaryCake · 22/10/2009 19:30

I would love a yurt with rugs on the floor and a wood burning stove

OP posts:
Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 19:32

Careful Laurie, you are playing with fire with such talk. You will set omdb off, she has a totally vicious eyeroll if you start with the yurts.

omdb, you wanna bet?

SixtyFootGhoul · 22/10/2009 19:33

My mother always told me if you cant say something nice....

overmydeadbody · 22/10/2009 19:35

I'll bet your fancy windbreak

Lauri I knew you'd be that sort of camper

MmeGoblindt · 22/10/2009 19:37

They make Uggs look attractive (almost)

LaurieScaryCake · 22/10/2009 19:39

omdb- I'm not talking about camping

it's worse, I'm talking about coveting one for the garden to just sit in....

OP posts:
Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 19:39

And there we go. She's off now, she'll be eye rolling away all over the board now.

Fancy windbreak is on the table, and what do you have to offer? One of your chopping board rocks perhaps?

Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 19:40

fgs they are SLIPPERS

SLIPPERS

who sees you in your slippers?

no one that is who, well no one who cares anyway.

Ivykaty44 · 22/10/2009 19:42

LSC I have a pair of sheepskin sleeper, they are adorable and I have had them for 27 years, my mums lasted her 30 years

So if your slippers last 30 years, that is really really very cheap - 42 divided by 30 is mega cheap

BloodRedTulips · 22/10/2009 19:43

damn you for linking that, i want a pair now!

how does the sizing work out, i vary between a 6 and a 7, i'd just buy th? 7 but i hate slippers that are too loose and for that money they'd want to fit perfectly.

Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 19:45

hmmm the sheepskin does bed down a bit so maybe go for the 6.

overmydeadbody · 22/10/2009 19:46

Aldi picnic rug? and I'll throw in the rocks chopping boards for free?

Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 19:47

s'alright omdb, would be like taking money from a baby. I do not do tent carpets. amen.

overmydeadbody · 22/10/2009 19:47

while sitting here on MN my hot water bottle has just broken on my lap

Now the slippers are looking like a more reliable option

Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 19:48

oh dear are you burnt?

This is not good. Slippers are very safe. I have never been injured by my slippers.

crankytwanky · 22/10/2009 19:49

I got the catalouge through my door too, for some reason.
I heart all the boots, but are a bit too £££ for moi.

Although, if they last as long as Ivy's, they're an investmet!

BloodRedTulips · 22/10/2009 19:49

was thinking that but then there's the risk of spending christmas day after opening them sobbing because my feet are too fat to be warm and snug

overmydeadbody · 22/10/2009 19:53

luckilly not slubber, it was made an hour ago.

Have just snuggled up in bed with DS who is ill with swine flu and makes a very lovely human hot water bottle!

Slubberdegullion · 22/10/2009 20:02

oh poor old ds omdb.

Dangerous things hot water bottles, you want to be getting one of those wheaty microwave bag dooberies, very good for the creaky old bones and rheumatism I hear. You are a sufferer are you not?

Tulips, why not buy both and see how they fit? Or speak to one of the extremely helpful people on the phone lines, just don't try for a discount.

Lilymaid · 22/10/2009 20:08

If you prefer Norfolk to Cornwall these slippers are for you.
OP - no need to feel bad about an "extravagant purchase" - they will last you and keep you warm for years.
