m&s

notamumyetbutoneday · 21/10/2009 15:14

Ive tried loads of places (M&S, matalan, next, bhs, etc) and actually found Primark the best. They are a perfect fit for me (5ft 1- M &S ones are far far too long, event he small) and they have lasted so well.

My favourites are black opaque ones with an argyle pattern. That was last winter but assume they still do them.

If you want a pair to last forever and look great, Wolford tights are great - I paid £18 but they've outlasted anything else by a long shot

pagwatch · 21/10/2009 15:17

yep - wollford will lsat forever. Other than that M&S or H&M have good ones.

BobtheWoodmouse · 21/10/2009 15:20

My Wolfords are in their 3rd year and still look great.

DD has some very thick opaques from Topshop - 100 denier and they are still going strong.

carriedababi · 21/10/2009 15:21

thanks, what denier do i need for totally not see through?

60 i think. 40 is still see through if you cross your legs eg, its see through on the knee bit, IYKWIM.

pleasechange · 21/10/2009 15:40

yes agree 60. 40s will be slightly see-through

BobtheWoodmouse · 21/10/2009 16:15

60, minimum, Wolfords for sale at John Lewis if that's any help, also tightsplease

laurenslovelymummy · 21/10/2009 19:29

Primark! They have 100 denier for £2 a pair and mine have lasted a good while.

badgermonkey · 21/10/2009 19:40

I got some Calvin Klein ones from TK Maxx that are notably better than my Primark or Tesco ones.

mylovelymonster · 21/10/2009 19:43

Can I slightly hijack and ask about best place/make for hold-ups? (Opaque/patterned) - good lasting rubbery bit?

cornsilk · 21/10/2009 19:45

Tesco do some glossy ones which are good under woolly dresses.

MacaroonIncident · 21/10/2009 19:45

I have some Autograph cashmere ones that I've not tried yet. They are also available in a yummy purply shade.
