is it just me? the last few times i've tried to order anything from Boden it's always out of stock. I've waited two months for some items in the past! we got their winter catalogue yesterday and there was lots of lovely stuff but when i went to order it, of the four items i wanted, not a single one was available. why do they advertise stuff if they don't have it? sorry for rant!

I am on their preview mailing list and got my winter stuff like this but I never received an email for the kids new winterstuff and that's what I look forward to...

Seems they heard me...they suddenly have the slim-fit jeans back in stock for DD2 , rest is still out of stock but this was the most important item

Because all the good stuff sells fast and the truly tragic bits are sale fodder.

MorrisZapp · 18/10/2009 10:29

You can't win can you. I'm too scared to order much until I've read the reviews, and by then my size has always gone.

What annoys me is that you would think it basic business sense that if you are offering an item in a range of colours/ patterns which include staples such as black, white or navy then it is obvious that the staple colours will go first.

So why not just make more of the popular coloured stuff ffs Johnnie?

I wanted the black jersey shirt but it's a big X against my size, while the wacky patterned versions are all still in stock.

Surely anybody who earns a living in the world of women's clothing does not have to be told that women love black, and that no amount of fun/ retro/ spotty patterns being invented will ever change that?

AAARGGH.

you need to order fast- given that they refund in up to 3 months, if you change your mind you can get a refund.

I always order during the preview and get 20 % off, then if i change my mind, get a refund.

I think they do have a problem with stock control- you can often spot the terrible mistakes that say SALE as soon as you look at them- and the winners that say SOLD OUT SOON.

But when you're ordering 2 months in advance you don't get to see a catalogue, have to do it from the website which I don't find as easy. Particularly with the kids stuff.
I did order a few things, though so had ds1's winter coat in August! I think you get to know what's good each year and order it with the preview. Remember if you order something at 20% you can then exchange it for anything else at 20% off!
