Ok I am planning a big shop next week and am in desperate need of some new tops, jeans cardis etc and maybe some brown boots. So far I have got.... wait for it......some fly london molo boots in black in the great sale at office.

Ok I hear you ask what do we have to work with? Well I would rather not spend too much on one particular piece so nothing costing $$$ (sorry dont have a pound sign). I am a size 10 or a small 12 , 5'2"(shorty), I have huge thighs (so no skinny jeans please), dark brown almost black hair, dark eyes and tanned skin, I tend to suit emerald green, purple, and royal blue rather than pastels.
I am a SAHM so no need for suits etc.

Have you thought of leggings, and maybe a shirt dress or a long top to go over them? Uniqlo have some good ones in at the moment.

leolantern · 15/10/2009 18:22

thenks I have always thought of leggings as a no no with my thighs but maybe with a long enough top...hmmm
I think I need to go to town and just try some stuff on.
would anyone suggest which shops I should try with decent quality stuff?

Sweater/jumper dresses with leggings and your new boots. There are quite a lot of them on the High St at the moment. Can be casual but with accessories and a blazer thrown over the top could be dressy.

Thingiebob · 15/10/2009 18:52

I've just realised I don't know what I'm talking about. I regularly look like I fallen out of a bin.

leolantern · 15/10/2009 19:14

at fallen out of a bin.

The White Stuff have some lovely things in and I am sure if you put Mumstuff in for the code it is free delivery, however anything over £100 is free delivery anyway. They have lots of nice little dresses in that you could wear with leggings or jeans or thick tights and boots.

I am 5ft nothing and a size 10. I have recently bought a lovely black sweater dress from Monsoon - was about £60, but I have worn it with leggings and boots and with patterned tights and chunky heals.

leolantern · 16/10/2009 06:29

thanks bella I will check out monsoon too.
I am only in the uk for a week so I can't do delivery and returns as there woun't be enough time.

leo if you're anywhere near a John Lewis they stock white stuff, and fat face which is similar - ff have some nice tunics in at the moment, plus stretch cords (not skinny). Some of their trousers incl the cords come in shorter length too.

leolantern · 16/10/2009 12:55

great I am planning to go to a face face store next week so will take a look then tunics etc look good I was just nosing around the ff website.
