What do you think of Gerry Weber? Who shops there? MIL bought me some v nice jeans from there...

I've never noticed the shop before- it seems moderately expensive and aiming for a more mature lady.

What do you know?

My mother, who is 72, slim but with a little tummy, thinks Gerry Weber trousers are great.

My mum loves Gerry. She's only 64.

The things she buys aren't my cup of tea, but sometimes, looking at the whole range I'd see the odd thing I'd wear and I'm in my late 30s.

A few months after I arrived on MN, I needed to go back to work. I bought two suits second-hand off someone on here and one was a Gerry Weber black trouser suit which I have worn to death and which is still my main 'unobtrusive and smart' outfit. The fabric is wonderful and flattering (for a black suit), hence perhaps the maturer lady market, also perhaps the larger lady market (I'm a size 18 apple shape).

Thank you ladies: As I suspected I'm not their usual target market (only 35). However well-fitting jeans, esp skinnies, are not to be sniffed at. Doubly so when they are a gift. I'll keep my little secret!
