Jeans for a lad with hand impairment

Does anyone know where I might get jeans with an elasticated waist that aren't those lycra legging-ish things.
For a 14 year old disabled lad who can't do his own button and zip but is now refusing assistance (thinks his crown jewels are too precious)! Argh!

Is there anyway a regular pair can be modified with some elastic? Does the OT have any ideas?

Not sure sorry. I reckon that would most likely be a hard style to find. Perhaps find a seamstress and have a word. Maybe a regular pair of jeans could be altered to fit as you require. Hope you get something sorted.

whay about taking the button off and puting velcro in its place?

cornsilk · 10/10/2009 12:02

Boden do elasticated/drawstring waists and also pantts with velcro rather than a button..

You can buy a "thingy" that does the button and zip, it is like a hook thing so that you can do them with one hand.

Betterware do them, I got one for my gran when she broke her shoulder. It wqas about a fiver iirc.
I think JML might do them as well.
