Mrs Badger I'm 25!!!! My nan wears a coat like that although I do like the hat. But it will give me hat hair. There has to be better alternative. This is better but still quite grim. Is the back ruched?!

ok have looked at Aigle - how poncy is their site? Can't be arsed to figure out what collectiona coat may be in! Carhartt is too sporty. Thank you ladies for the tips, it seems I've hit upon some holy grail of outwear!

Yes, the Carhartt website is really uninspiring, isn't it?
Can I also suggest a trip to Zara? Sometimes it has real gems (not all the time though) in terms of jacket.

ohh Mrsbadger that's a good one - but Im not keen on the fur it would be horrid in the rain and it looks like that's about the only thing you can't adjust / remove? Hmmm

francaghostohollywood I've tried Zara, they have some really nce lightweight ones but I need something a little more hardcore!

Why can't they just make the coats they make in autumn (I have a really nice one for light rain) but make them in waterproof material and add a hood - is that too much to ask?

I really like this one in terms of colour and length still a little too "walking boots style" coat for me but I could cope.

I'm having exactly the same problem, it is so unbelievable that there is NOTHING!

I had an ok one from Zara a couple of years ago but it turned out it leaked at the shoulder seams which was bloody uncomfy so I'm looking for one with taped seams. I also had one by Lady Soul which wasn't bad but the hood was designed for frank sidebottom so if it was windy it blew down.

Why can't some cool designer team up with berghaus or something so we get the warmth and waterproofness but with something that is actually stylish, not grim with a bit of fake fur round the collar which seems to be what 'stylish' equates to in a practical coat.

I just googled 'warm waterproof stylish coat' and you know what the first page consisted of? Coats for bloody dogs.
