OK, so am a week overdue, and already unrealistically planning what yummy things I can buy myself after DD2 decides to arrive (hurry up).

I am off on a lovely pamper day in December, and will get my hair done next month, but in the meantime what can I indulge in that may help me to feel if not look slightly half normal again......

Thanks mummies,
FFM x

pedicure always cheers me up....

Clarins beauty flash balm and By Terry under eye concealer, stop you looking too grey and tired!
I am buying boots and new cardigan for winter.

Mamma Mio Tummy Toner and Get Waisted . They are really great products.

Second vote for gorgeous shoes too

Regular mani/pedi and eyebrow wax. The first two you can do yourself (even if mani is no more than file nails, sort cuticles, apply clear varnish). Whenever I have my eyebrows waxed I feel instantly more groomed and together - even on the days when I don't have time to apply make up before running out the door.

A pair of loose fitting black trousers to skim all lumps and bumps. As instantly a slimming item as ever there was.....

Sleep.

SIL bought me Jo Malone red roses bath oil and fig and cassis candle - lovely!

A nice body scrub and body lotion also good.

But my favourite thing 11 wks post baby number 3 is my agent provocateur nursing bra in bright pink.

Good luck!

Just pre- and immediately post-baby I swore by two Benefit products - a pink pencil called High Brow, which you wear just on the brow bone and magically makes you look less tired, and Some Kinda Gorgeous which is a little compact which goes on like powder but is like foundation.

Call me vain and shallow if you will (ahem) but those and some mascara took one minute and made me feel many degrees less shite.

Plus people are always dead impressed if you have a new baby AND some make-up on.

Hi Freyfreysmum

How exciting - best of luck !

  • Fake tan ( Bobbi Brown says it makes most people look better)
  • This Works range for shower/ bath/ body/
  • Yummy Tummy tops ( they even have a BF one), M&S do a cheaper version but they do not have the same suck it in power
  • Have you ever had your eye lashes dyed ?, it can make a huge difference especially with well shaped eye brows.
  • Maybe some Eve Lom, I found this little ritual very relaxing and made me feel like I was really looking after myself.

Happy Shopping,

A x
