Help, Help my 2.5 yr old needs nice plain clothes and I've taken my eye off the baby fashion ball and something seems to have happened to Verbaudet

About 5 years ago I bought a few nice basics for dd1 from Verbaudet - packs of plain cotton tops and twin packs of cord trousers. I stopped ordering from them after they totally failed to deliver something and I had to savage them for my cash. Now dd3 is 2.5 and seems to have grown out of everything I want to buy a few bits for her - a couple of plain skirts and a pinafore dress and some tights. So I've gone on Verbaudet on line and it looked crap. Horrid things, nothing classic at all and only one possible brown skirt. Also the nice tights were £17 upwards. I don't know where all the lovely twin packs of stuff went? And since when did tights cost that much?

I've looked at Boden but I don't really want to spend £20 upwards per item and I'm at work all week so time shopping in actual shops is short.

Can anybody suggest websites? I want nice, plain, cosy classic stuff. When I do get to shops I like Gap but I never get on with Next or M&S really. Dd3 is 2.5 and I would be looking to buy age 3 for her. She'sa reasonable size and age 2 just won't cut it.

Not online but I get lots of stuff for my DD1 (2.8) at H&M and the prices are good.

We have a H&M but they don't do childrens stuff in our branch if you can believe it!

I had a look at vertbaudet and they class under 2 as 'baby' so if you are looking at the 3 year old stuff you are right it is all different.
JoJo Maman Bebe do plain cord pinafores online £16 each and you save £5 if you buy 2.
2 pack of tights £10 (but I have to say I do like Next for girls tights)
They seem to have lots of plain or stripey stuff and not splashed with fairies and princesses etc

Jojomamanbebe is good if you're after basic, classic stuff.

Jojo - not as cheap as vertbaudet but a lot better than Boden, classic shapes and colours. Their dresses sometimes come up short though - this one was especially bad.

I also do well on 3-pks of plain tshirts from Tesco with the food shopping for dd(2) as she trashes them with food at nursery.

Oh thank goodness - I love those dresses!!

I like mini mode too but our in town Boots moved store - hurrah I though - now everything is on one level I won't have to battle in to the lift to look at the baby stuff. Fat chance! The baby stuff was all elbowed - they now do nappies and food and that's it. You have to go out of town to get the clothes.

Yes we do have Zara but I always tend to go in, feel excited then go off stuff before I've even got it to the counter! MAybe I'm just too fussy

NA - those are all very sweet but I just want something very plain that will go with everything she already has. I like that autograph pinafore set but they don't have it in her size. Thanks ever so for looking though.

I used to use Jako-o quite a bit, but it's all priced in Euros and the exchange rate isn't very favourable now. It's really good quality basics though, their stuff washes really well and lasts for ages.
