After seeing these beautiful dresses linked on here a few days ago i have fallen in love and decided that I MUST have one to wear to a frieds wedding next month.

I think i am going to get the blue one but the sizing seems small on the charts so was wondering if anyone on here had worn one and could recommend which size would be best for someone who normall wears a 12/14 with and big knockers ( so big my tape measue wont stretch 34f) The chart said i'd need, i think at 18 but i hope can't imagine that's right.

30 inch waist, 36 in hips.. immesurable boobage.

I dont know to be honest, I know sizes were smaller back then.

I think i am going to order the 16

ring them arsed, proportionally your waist is v small which isn't the usual.

Ring her honey, she is incredibly helpful- she is a friend of a friend who is pretty much the same shape as you and has the halterneck dress in emerald green which fits like a glove. How envious I am right now!

Definitely don't order without measuring! I made a trip to Holloway Road 'specially and I was too fat to get into any of the dresses I am much fatter than you by the way, but I am usually an 18 and couldn't fit into a 24 or something.

Oh I am a very similar size to you and have bought the red swing dress, I was horrified to receive a size 18 but it works. I wear a black cinch belt to emphasize a smallish waist and the fit on the bust is great.

I always peek in the window as I pass and I always see a customer wearing one of the dresses and a great big smile as she spins around and makes it swish.

It cheers me right up. It's like a little haven of fifties lovliness amid the squalor of the Holloway Road.

There is now a photo on my profile of me wearing what is in theory the size 18. Some dodgy photography means that the dress looks like wetlook pvc....it isn't!
