does it HAVE to have fur?

bibbitybobbityCAT · 05/10/2009 22:51

Ooooh, someone else linked to that coat the other day.

moondog · 05/10/2009 22:53

I think it was me Cat!
Cybill, i lloked at the Hobbs stuff and it seemed a wee bit dreary this year. Also, i've bought nowt but long plain black coats for years so wanted a tiny bit of variation.

FimboFortunaFeet · 05/10/2009 22:57

alas no fur

cornsilk · 05/10/2009 22:58

Fimbo -The Lindsay coat is gorgeous - do you have to be tall to wear their stuff?

FimboFortunaFeet · 05/10/2009 23:00

too short?

FimboFortunaFeet · 05/10/2009 23:02

I am 5ft 8 and too short for their trousers. I agree the coat is gorgeous but when you look at the model it is slightly above the knee, so you may be able to get away with it depending on your height.

moondog · 05/10/2009 23:03

Wee bit frumpy Plum as is the second suggestion from Fimbo (thank you so much for helkping though!) but that LTS one is divine. Are they 5 8 and above? I'm 5 7. Will it look too big?

OP posts:
FimboFortunaFeet · 05/10/2009 23:06

I think it really is one of those things that need to be tried on.

Are you near an LTS shop? I could go and try it on but it wouldn't be until the weekend after next.

Not fur, but lovely shape:

No......
My nearest Liverpool and Chester but working every hours God sends and having a dh on other side of the world limits frivolous forays into clothes shops at present.....

Not as keen now I've seen it on the model actually - bit flary at the bottom. I love the general style of the top bit though.

moondog · 05/10/2009 23:08

Plum, those sleeves. i'd be always trying to straighten them out!

Sorry I just had to show you this horror.

moondog · 05/10/2009 23:15

I can see it working on the right sort of woman...who definitely isn't me though!

I wonder if Karen Millen have changed their designers. I don't like any of their stuff at the moment.
