I've been reading the thread about treggings etc and have just recently lost enough weight to look ok in skinny jeans. I'm ready to go out and buy some long tunic/jumper type tops and wondered if anyone has seen any that are particularly fab?

Try New Look, loads in there for not many ££

They have decent long boyfriend cardi's too, for 20 quid

Check out Top Shop sale rail - usually full of tunic tops. You will have to hunt through as there will probably be a fair bit of tat left but always worth a look, imo. Also try Zara and H&M.

If you aren't averse to a supermarket label inside your clothes, Tesco have some cheap and cheerful tunics and long cardis too.

And congratulations on the weight loss

I really like Jane Norman jumpers, nice long line, pretty cheap and look great with skinny jeans.

H&M have quite a few in at the moment as well.

I got a fantastic cowl neck tunic/dress from American Apparel that I wear over jeans. It was only about £28 quid and I love it. Tis sleeveless though, in case that's not what you're after.

Primark have long cardigans as well for £10.

gigglewitch · 03/10/2009 22:35

got three yesterday in new look. lovely ones, totally spoilt for choice

OllieWollieWoo · 03/10/2009 22:36

Question - what do you wear under long/boyfriend cardis? Plain t shirts or something else?

gigglewitch · 03/10/2009 22:41

imho it's t-shirt or best, ollie

gigglewitch · 03/10/2009 22:43

^best?
meant vest
I usually go for shaped necklines y'see - slight lack of cleavage in my case, and shapes tend to enhance the look of having more than actually is the case

try this site www.joebrowns.co.uk
Their knitwear is lovely and their dresses and tunics look great over leggings(or JEGGINGS even)
Congrats on the weight loss by the way,It's lovley when you can buy new clothes in a smaller size.

Thank you ladies, have been to H&M and bought two boyfriend cardi's, a sweater dress and a long tunicy thing. Have already told dh that I've had them for ages, but he wasn't fooled and told me I could have bought more!!!
