What flat ish shoes or boots to wear with black casual pencil skirt and opaques?

Need ideas. Really not keen on shoe boots. I am shortish with imho stubby legs. I like the long boot look but am wondering if that's a bit passe?

I like long boots, what's your budget and I look?

VerityBrulee · 03/10/2009 09:19

or even, I'll look!

I have a pair similar to these and they look great with opaques and skirts.

This is a MN favourite, but the sole is too chunky for my taste.

I think the long boot look is pretty classic, don't think it's passe.

I have flat Camper boots that are similar to Veritybrulee's. They were cheaper, about £130.

I already have a couple of pairs of long black boots similar to the Fly ones so that's sorted then! Was worried that it would look a bit last decade (I have no confidence about such things so no idea where I've got this idea from!)

Would love to see your campers though Celery if you can link to them.

Also have my eye on some patent boots in...dare I say it....Boden.

And I got some gorgeous Hunter type wellies - long and shiny blue from M&S so maybe they could do when it's raining and we're off for a muddy walk.

I do need some higher boots though i.e. with a heel - any ideas welcome.
