what boots with a dark green wrap dress??

I've just tried it on with my long boots which are a tan colour but they don't look quite right, not sure if it's the style or the colour. Needs to be boots rather than shoes due to hideous varicose veins. HELP!!!

I saw lovely dark brown chunky high heeled knee length boots, on H&M website, £39.99, they looked good.

have stretched and hung still looks a little small to me but will cross fingers and pray!
