LuluSkipToMyLou · 28/09/2009 21:00

Well I got a nice Jaeger angora coat for £60. From Oxfam. Everybody wins!

traceybath · 28/09/2009 21:05

I was at Bicester last week and spent a lot less than that .

Sadly I was much more drawn to Bonpoint and Petit Bateau. Am I becoming one of those mothers who just 'likes the kids to look nice and doesn't care about herself' - vomit emoticon.

happyschoolrun · 28/09/2009 21:10

Well. I did go into Petit Bateau, they do wonderful T shirts for kids.I was looking for some for my nieces but no luck.I think Bicester just got better and better. So many nice shops... a good day out if you know what sort of thing you are looking for.

Happyschoolrun - do you by any chance, er, WORK for Bicester village? Can't help noticing that you've never posted anything else on MN, ever, in your life...

happyschoolrun · 28/09/2009 21:24

Very true,Jajas! It was packed with tour groups!I totally agree with you about some brands which you can get much cheaper from TK Maxx, and it does not matter one bit it was last seasons!Who cares!I have also been there before and walked away with nothing.

Dear starkadder, I can assure you I do not work for Bicester, in fact I do no work at all.....I am new, however, on mumsnet....

starkadder · 28/09/2009 21:28

all right. But you have to admit it does look a bit sus.

Nice to do no work at all but bet it is not true...you have children, right? That still counts as work.

Hi happyschoolrun - I live 1/2 an hour away from Bicester so we often go there for a look around (saw Liz Hurley there once!) but it can be a bit hit and miss. I have had some great bargains from there. Never been in Jimmy Choo though as the size of the heels makes my eyes water!

TheBalladofGayTony · 29/09/2009 07:56

bicester village is depressing. all that fakey new englandy chic and millions of people who view shopping as a hobby.

having said that i got a great pair of 7 jeans.....
