First post.... I'm clueless- what to wear for a first date?!?!

Please could someone give me some advice/ point me in the right direction.

I'm going on a first date if I don't bottle it on Sunday night and I really have no clue what to wear.
I want to look trendy and not too try hard.

I'm 29, a size 14(ish) and 5ft 7.

My going out clothes consist of bootcut jeans and dressy tops. Day clothes are very trampy casual!

Was thinking maybe a dress with tights and boots?!

Any advice would be so gratefully received.

Dress, tights and boots sounds good to me. I think aim for the 'I've not made any massive effort yet i still look great' look .

make sure your hair looks good too, and your make-up, to give a well-groomed look

Tis v important imo... if you're going to a local pub, then dress could be too much. What kind of dress, what kind of boots? Need More Information
