Photographer coming tomorrow - what to wear

NZ Woman's Weekly are taking photo of ds and I for an article Bob is in.

He is easy- dungarees and a bright top.

But me? Oh goodness. What looks good in a photo. What should I do with my long straight hair, and how can I get a spot to disappear overnight?

Eeek! Scarey thought

Something that tones in with what Bob is wearing (nb tones not matches or you'll look like a weirdo )

Spot...? I'm guessing only stracks of concealer will shift it. Maybe they'll airbrush it out for you.

Don't wear anything too pale (unless you have darker skin) as it can make you look washed out.....
Good luck, very exciting!

toothpaste for your spot.

bobbybob · 07/06/2005 08:48

Thanks for all the spot advice, I will try the toothpaste (and concealer!). They are more likely to airbrush a badly concealed spot than an unconcealed one I reckon!

What do you reckon about the hair?

Do you suit it better down or up (in a pony tail?) I presume a smart/casual look is better than a formal one. What is the article about? what is your weather like? What image would u like to project - ie young and trendy/sophisticated and groomed?

bobbybob · 07/06/2005 08:59

The article is about brave children, and I'm just in the photo because I guess people like to look at the person who is quoted. Dh is home at the moment, so I am getting him in his only tasteful outfit just in case - I would much rather it was all 3 of us.

The weather is very cold and frosty but with some sun. If it's outside we we all need to be wearing coats or at least jumpers. I've looked at the style of the photos in the magazine and they are just head and shoulder shots with plain backgrounds, could be taken anywhere.

Fortunately I know the photographer from my previous life in advertising - so he will be used to me fussing.

All sorted - wore my hair down, because I was still deciding when the photographer arrived. Wore a nice Merino wool shirt in a bright red and lots of lipgloss. Bob wore some Gap dungarees and a checked shirt. Apparently he looked lovely.
