Wrap dresses - do they fit well even when you're 9 months pregnant?

I'm pregnant and need to buy clothes for the office, but hate the idea of spending lots of money on clothes I won't wear again.

Would wrap dresses fit well all the way through? They are fine now, but I'm only 18 weeks...

I'll go on mat leave probably 2 weeks before the due date. But I got really big early on the first time around and even more so this time (I was on mat clothes from 13 weeks!)

Another vote for ebay, I bought and sold a lot on ebay. The Isabella Oliver stuff is really good quality so will withstand being secondhand, there's always lots on ebay.

I wore lots of wrap dresses and tops, worked really well for me.

Also try H&M's Mama vest tops, which are completely plain and really long, so can go underneath normal stuff which fits but might ride up over your bump, also good for wearing under wrap dresses which as you get bigger can give you an almighty cleavage!

(plus I still wear all my maternity vest tops as they're really supportive and smooth out lumps/bumps ande muffin tops)

oh and don't forget that NOTHING fits when you're 9 months pregnant, and if you're anything like I was you won't care as you'll just be very very very cross with everyone.

I had several wrap dresses for both of my pregnancies and they were the ONLY thing I wanted to wear in my last few weeks.

I am officially 9 months pregnant (due tomorrow)

I bought the Boden Henley dress to wear post-natally (my first & only ever Boden purchase, you understand) and it fits perfectly now. So might be a good work option?

fruitstick: were they maternity or normal wrap dresses? And normal size or one size bigger?

Thanks Letthemeat, is that the knitted henley dress from this season? Did you buy your normal non pregnant size? I have a big bump, but am otherwise the same size....

They were boden wrap dresses in my size (although I am often between sizes so possibly could have got away with a smaller size when not pregnant )

I also had a knitted dress from Boden (the one before they brought out the Henley). I stopped wearing it when my bump got big as I didn't want to stretch it beyond repair but it would have fitted til the end no problem.

I am going to miss 'under the armpits' jersey trousers this winter.

Might wear them anyway

Tugamommy I wore my wrap dresses all the way through but towards the end I had to wear a vest or t-shirt underneath or my boobs would have been indecent.

Hi tugamommy: Yes, this season. I've never bought Boden before and think that the sizing might be a bit odd... am usually a 10-12 and quite tall with it, so I bought the 12L thinking that it would work on a post-baby figure, but it was on the big side, despite my bump (and bum) and long, too. So I've gone to a 10R which still fits well now, and will hopefully be perfect once the baby is out if that makes sense.

I'd say take advantage of their returns policy and just buy a bunch of colours/ sizes and muck about until you're happy. The fixed wrap dress worked well too but just wasn't my cup of tea ... if I was going to work instead of working at home though, I probably would've kept it.
