Long thin baby clothes

Having spent years looking for short, fat adult clothes, I now need to find long, thin baby clothes for my 8 month DD. We're having problems with trousers being really big at the waist, and tops/ vests so wide they fall off at the shoulder, but not being long enough. Can anyone recommend where to buy clothes for the longer, thiner baby?

I second Petit Bateau

French children's clothes in general tend to be made for thinner children - try Vertbaudet too

H&M and No Added Sugar are great for skinny kids.

la redoute and H & M. Never Asda or tesco, your child would have to be practically obese to fit the waist and leg length at the same time there.

Bugger, just back from a holiday in France, and was too busy reeling from the price of food now to look at baby clothes in supermarket. Will pop into H&M and find Le Petit Bateau.

Currently just trying to decide whether it's worth buying 9-12 months sleepsuits, or move straight to 12-18 months given how long the 6-9 months have lasted.

My 21 month DD was and still is long and thin- I find Polarn O Pyret (shops in Kingston and guildford and in some House of Frasers) really good as some of their trousers you can adjust the waistband. H & M are also fab. My DD is still wearing PoP leggings size 80 (I think it's for 9-12 months) as they are super long! the Swedish lady in PoP told me that most Scandinavian makes cater for long and thin babies- you can try Nordic Kids website too. For sleepsuits I just got their actual age size from M & S and wasn't too fussed about the waist size but poor DD's skirts and trousers fall down when she runs around if I get the 1.5-2 year sizes!
