I'd really like to feel a little more stylish, and I love the look of long cardis but .... here comes the requirements

No (or v. little wool), some shape could be good (I like oes that tie under the bust).

I'm 5' 3" which I know is a bit short for one, but humour me , I'm somewhere between a size 8 and 12 on top - still bf so 32 DD ish but getting smaller, 8-10 below.

Thanks in advance

forgot to say - not too expensive, quite like drapy and not brown

I have a really nice long cardi from New Look, it is very very thin though (almost see-thru) navy cotton, it came with a weird kilt pin to hold it closed which I got rid of. It is sort of floaty / drapy and it is really nice over t-shirts etc when it's too warm to actually wear a jumper whilst pushing a pram around. It looked like nothing on the hanger but my eagle-eyed friend made me try it on and now I live in it. Bought it a couple of weeks ago should still be in stock.

Have you thought of going to Debenhams or another big dept store that does a personal shopper type service? They are usually free and they know all the stock in the store so saves you traipsing round for hours.

Mind you I always find that if I have a specific 'want' I can NEVER find it when I go shopping!

this

or this style? neither have wool in them.

or are you looking for something like this ?

I am shorter than you, have bought two long cardigans from Zara, both cotton with a touch of nylon, I love them.

I have got a great "boyfriend" style long cardi 100% cotton from Primark - loads of colours available and I am short too and it is just the right length (just past bum) but do buy at least 2 sizes too big as Primark is styled on anorexic 14 year olds IME

Saw long cardis in Tesco yesterday. Lots of different colours. Not sure of the price though, sorry.

I've just ordered this one from Next, it has good reviews.

Thanks a lot for that - I'll check these out.

In fact I pass a Next on the way home so I can start here.

I've got this in stone and this in black, blue and grey.

Those new look ones are great value - I was really looking for something a bit different, but I think I might have to get one of those as well.

Looked in Next, but they didn't have the right sizes

Thanks for all the suggestions

I ordered that grey one from Next but sent it back as it was shapeless and baggy .

I've got a couple similar to the New Look ones from Tesco. They came with a self-tie belt but I've cut the loops off as they didn't seem to come in the right place.

I've just been looking at the M&S website - they seem to have loads of different styles so I might have to find one
