if so would you be so good as to tell me how long it measures, as in from shoulder to hem?
thanx

I have it. Will measure later when dp gets in to look after dc (he's been away for a few days & we're all sick of the sight of each other!)

Tis LURVE-ly

cheeryface · 20/09/2009 16:24

oh i know the feeling! and thankyou, im trying to cheer myself up and order something new. in fact i think i need to donate everything to charity and start again!

Actually, the dc thought it was a hilarious game and DD1 is currently checking my measurements herself!

73cm/29in from shoulder to hem. I measured it without wearing it, don't know if that makes a difference. It seems about a cm or so shorter at the back but that might even out when it's worn.

I have a size 10.

Hope that helps.

I absolutely love it. I really do.

Did you see the thread with the discount code? I used it and got loads of money off in total (think it's 15% and might take some of delivery too, can't quite remember).

Obviously if you live anywhere near me though, please DON'T buy it, as don't want to bump into lots of other owl-dress-wearing-mn'ers everywhere I go

cheeryface · 20/09/2009 16:30

thanks ever so much. im a size 10 aswell. you dont live in manchester do you
i'll have a look for the code too, brill!

MAR917 worked for me. Or try MAR883.

As advised in original owl dress thread

NorkilyChallenged · 20/09/2009 16:34

And no, not in Manchester so feel free to buy it.

It's fab and you'll feel great in it. I haven't braved it with leggings though, feel it's maybe a bit too short (when bending over) for that, but then I have a bit of a confidence issue about wearing leggings.

Looks great over jeans though.

cheeryface · 20/09/2009 16:44

thanks. i'll go and order !!

I would personally have said that when people talk "layering" they do generally mean the layers to be visible (which is why bra/knickers/thermal vest don't normally count).

So for example, a round next tshirt or cami under a long-sleeved top (so you see the two necklines) then a cardi on top. Or a long-sleeved tshirt under another shorter sleeved top, etc.

Oops posted that in the wrong thread!
