What do you think of these ankle boots?

I really want a great pair of ankle boots for this winter - I really like these, but they are very, very expensive, so not sure if I can justify it:

Yes, agree second pair are probably nicer, but really need them to be grey or black.
I know they are not really boots, but I already have other proper boots - really want something "fashionable" for wearing out!

I don't like the second pair but I think the first ones are lovely. But pricey - if they were £100 less they'd be the sort of thing you could talk yourself into....

But I think I will try to find something with a slightly lower heel, and therefore better value according to the fashion maths formula !!
