I went a bit mad mainly because last winter I was post baby and too big to get in my clothes so I'm making up for it! Plus I realise I wore my jumpers really short and I don't really want to flash my mummy tummy!

2 Boden Crew Neck Cardis
2 Boden Polo necks on order from preview
Zara Boyfriend Cardigan
White Stuff flowery top
2 plain long sleeve t-shirts
Pair of winter leggings
Fly boots
Tall Uggs

When I look at it now it's all pretty basic rather than fun stuff but really needed it. Still debating which tunic to get!

I will be wearing a lovely selection from a private collection of autumn/winter garments found exclusively on the Ikea boxes on top of my wardrobe. Some of them date back ten years although most of them are an eclectic mix of garments from the 2004/2005 era (when I had money and actually baught clothes)

overmydeadbody · 17/09/2009 18:23

You are all ver ver boring with your boden, black jeans or leggings, cardis adn black black black

Where is the colour?!

I have pink leggings. And torquise. From last year.

BonsoirAnna · 17/09/2009 18:25

So far I have bought bright yellow cord trousers and purple cord trousers (slightly long, baggy ones) from Sofie D'Hoore (Belgian designer who does the best basics) and Tod's ankle boots.

squeaver · 17/09/2009 18:27

Cybil - you really need to get to Duo for your boots.

NoahDear · 17/09/2009 18:28

Oh yes,Jajas you have reminded me...
also Waterfall 'Fabstretch' cardigan from Kew.
Have numerous jeans/trousers/dresses/skirts etc form previous years,so will be recycling those.

overmydeadbody · 17/09/2009 19:30

I am jealous of you all. I have no money for new clothes, not even cheap h&m ones.

NoahDear · 17/09/2009 19:32

omdb
IS THERE ANYthin in parci you are after - size etc
maybe someone has a retail mistkae they could send up?

ZZZenAgain · 17/09/2009 19:48

somehow I don't see you in bright yellow cord trousers BonsoirAnna.

I feel a slightly hippy-ish phase coming on - perhaps it's the result of a change to a vegetarian diet. I knew really I should steer clear of nettle tea and stick to coffee... I knew it. I am feeling attracted to shapeless wooly things with fringes. Is this curable?!

overmydeadbody · 17/09/2009 19:54

Noah clothes that actually look nice are what I'm after! Sometimes I feel all the other mums at the school gate are thinking "not those jeans, jumper and gilet combo again "

Am a size 8

BonsoirAnna · 17/09/2009 19:56

I had bright yellow linen trousers this summer and they were fab

overmydeadbody · 17/09/2009 19:58

zzz you must eat meat again asap before the damage is irreversable.

vacaloca · 17/09/2009 20:10

My winter wardrobe so far.

NoahDear · 17/09/2009 20:21

right where are all the size 8 folk then to send her stuff?

bluebump · 17/09/2009 20:35

I ordered this the other day and found an online code that means when you spend over £20 you get £15 off so I got it for £6.99 - £9.99 inc delivery. It's not arrived yet so i've no idea if it's any good, hope so!

Podrick · 17/09/2009 20:37

I have bought:
a gorgeous noa noa magenta winter jacket and scarf
magenta tights
green wrapover short sleeve cardigan
black wrapover short sleeve cardigans x 2 - one in wool, one in cotton/metallic thread
black jet gothic style necklace (that I have mislaid before even wearing)
2 magenta tops

...am trying to cut back on buying this season because i have a lot of nice stuff already!

(but I am looking for some nice knee boots and black trousers for work)

LetThemEatCake · 17/09/2009 21:20

vacaloca, I like your style!!

okay, I have got:
White Stuff Bendy Wendys, to give my bump a break from Topshop maternity jeans
North Face Arctic Parka which arrived today and is fab, it just does up over my bump so should be great after next week
charcoal Travelwrap
Boden dress in black
Black boots
Isabella Oliver cable cosy
these socks, but knee length, from the sale today
my friend bought me a new pair of these skinny jeans, to replace my ones that she's been wearing since I got pregnant!

and various long sleeve tees, layers etc from places ranging from Primarni to my-wardrobe, plus far too many frocks for the Christmas season when I will be back to pre-preg weight ...

Still need dark brown boots, real proper chocolate colour .... none of these tan nonsense ... any ideas?

BobtheWoodmouse · 17/09/2009 21:53

LTEC - I'm desperate for someone to buy these boots:

dark chocolate brown riding boots by Church's

BumperliciousVsTheDailyHate · 17/09/2009 22:02

I'm with OMDB on this. Can't believe you guys can just go out and buys all this stuff in one season! My winter wardrobe will be mostly vintage Primark, with some of their new collection thrown in for good measure

In fact I may be unearthing some of my maternity jeans, not because I am pg (here's hoping) but because I have put on half a stone in 3 months out of misery.

LetThemEatCake · 17/09/2009 22:23

oh Woodmouse ... did you have to??

I hadn't seen them ... and now will be tragically haunted by the fact that they are not in my size (sobs)

millenniumfalcon · 17/09/2009 23:57

have bought:

dark brown timberland laceup boots (ebay)
kuyichi jeans (ebay)
cashmere jumper (ebay)
bomber jacket style body warmer (ebay)
gap knee length straight denim skirt (ebay)
grey/black stripey dress (warehouse sale)
long fairisle fingerless gloves/mittens (somewhere comtemptible, can't remember, were spensive)

hope to buy: knee socks from toast, all out of stock.

them am done til jan sales.

BobtheWoodmouse · 18/09/2009 07:14

LTEC - keep popping back, they re-stock that boot, I was lusting after the black pair and thought I was safe because they had sold out - now they are back in - I'm not even checking the sizes - my wallet is too scared.

Chandon · 18/09/2009 07:32

Oooh I was just planning to wear last year´s stuff and just buy some new tights and one pair of new boots.

Never thought of "renewing" my wardrobe. I still wear skirts I bought 10 years ago.

I want to go shopping now!

I would like:

  • a nice winter cord skirt, knee length, to wear with tights and boots
  • the ultimate school run coat (long, warm, hooded, yet feminine....holy grail of coats, not sure it exists. I walk to school in all weathers)
  • new cashmere scarf (have giraffe like neck that gets very cold)
  • wrist warmers (am 6 ft 1, so all coats always expose my wrists)
  • low boots for wearing under jeans
  • fitted black cardi

boring boring, must go shop for inspiration!
