Hi - I must live in a cave as I have only just discovered the Boden catalogue at a friends house. Now looking on eBay for some stuff. Are the sizes generous? Thanks x

IME, the sleeves are long and dresses are completely hopeless unless you have a bust. I'd say the sizes are on the generous side overall; I go for a size up in skirts, but that's because I don't like things sitting on my waist. Tops are good - well cut and quite long, so you don't get the crop-top look.

I'm 5 foot 2 and generally petite (8 on top and 10 on the bottom, with no bust, no waist and relatively long legs for a titchy person) if that is of any use to you!

I would say not really, i am a standard (in most shops) size 10 and ive found their stuff a bit tight...

Or maybe im getting fatter?

moodlumthehoodlum · 12/09/2009 20:36

I agree

and if you're lumbered blessed with substantial norks, I find the tops too short in the body, personally.

Trojan1970 · 12/09/2009 20:39

I am well endowed in the chesticles, tummy and backside areas so would normally (regretably) have to go for a 20. If they are a complete size out ie normally 18 so buy a 20, then I shan't bother. Thanks All.

is worth a try trojan, really does depend on the garment and your shape. i find their larger sizes are more generous and smaller slightly less so.

moodlumthehoodlum · 12/09/2009 20:46

no, the large sizes are good, as fishie says.

I wear my normal size and find them quite generous.

I wear a 12 as a rule and find that fine from Boden.

Tho I do agree the tops can be short in body.

Schoolsec · 13/09/2009 21:24

same..am a 12 normally and their size 12s generally fit easily.

pasturesnew · 13/09/2009 22:37

Well I just got the jersey wrap dress for ease of bf after DC2's birth and it fits me well at 39 weeks!!!! So that is generous indeed.

Trojan1970 · 14/09/2009 22:05

Thanks for the feedback. I won the top on eBay for 99p so it's not too much of a disaster if it doesn't fit. I also went back to Fat Club last week so it may well fit better in a few weeks time!
