Please help me find a top/tops to go with this skirt.

I bought this today in Debenhams.

It looks very nice on but not sure what to wear on my top half with it. Its shorter in real life than it looks in the picture, comes just to me knee and flares out nicely.

They had tops in marron with the skirt but firstly I didn't like any of them and secondly I wasn't sure if I ought to wear a maroon top with it or if that would be too much? Would a black top be better? I'm not very good at putting outfits together. Thanks.

i'd probably wear a white top, even a tshirt

I'd go for a cream colour with this. Or grey?

I think pink would match well.

Thanks for the ideas. White and cream probably would go really well but I don't think they suit me. I never wear white tops. I've got loads of brown tops though and they do look good with it. I'll keep my eye open for a pink top and see how it looks as well.
