at lunchtime I look like most make up has moved, worn off or whatever,

FINE at home but at work - Yikes.

Have stashed a Nars mulitple and el cheapo 17 grey eyeliner in bag with a sample VItalumiere. WHat a difference.

I presume some people have a ful make up bag - how does it work? do you haev TWO sets ofr carry your make up at all times?

I carry a full make up bag on me most of the time, don't need two sets of make up! Just keep it in my handbag and it is with me at home/work/play etc.

CybilLiberty · 12/09/2009 10:30

I carry a lippy and a Touche Eclait thingy AT ALL TIMES>. But I find make up bag gets too grimy.

Meglet · 12/09/2009 10:30

no make up bag even at home . So certainly not one in my bag, just carmex lip balm.

I need to get my act together grooming-wise I think.

NoahAmin · 12/09/2009 10:30

really?
so all your make up is not on a shelf in the bathroom?!

i have a smallisg no7 pallette type thingy!! everything in one little plastic pallette. it travels well!!

was wondering the other day about lipsticks.....do people still wear them?? its mainly glosses in my bag!

Overmydeadbody · 12/09/2009 10:34

Gosh, I never even wear lipstick, should I?

I have lip gloss with me at all times. Eyelashes dyed so no need for mascara.

yama · 12/09/2009 10:37

Lipstick, eyeliner and mirror in the inner zipped pocket of whatever bag I'm carrying.

NoahAmin · 12/09/2009 10:46

ij lipcolour

I put my maquillage on in the morning and then put bourjois mineral powder, nars blusher & small brush, lippy & gloss in make up bag and put it in my hand bag. sometimes i also throw in the liquid eyeliner and mascara just in case. i look shite without make up, people always ask me if i'm ill

NoahAmin · 12/09/2009 10:49

so then at night you have to cart it all OUT again?

I have rediscovered pressed face powder and that seems to stop my face sliding off by first playtime

hercules1 · 12/09/2009 10:51

I haven't got this worked out yet. Full make up in the morning for me but no patch up job in the day. Should be though really.

hercules1 · 12/09/2009 10:52

Cybil - I have tried this in the past but find it goes a bit cloggy and isnt smooth over my foundation. Really dirties the pad you apply it with too.

CybilLiberty · 12/09/2009 11:02

I buff on with a brush, dead quick

Ewe · 12/09/2009 12:59

I have a make up box at home and I switch things around, replenish my make up bag etc regularly but my core kit stays with me at all times. This is because I am usually running late after nursery drop off and have to do my make up on the train!

I too use a face powder, Jane Iredale mineral powder foundation, has fab staying powder and very light.

BitOfFun · 12/09/2009 13:02

dying does not get rid of need for mascara imo

Live fast, Die Young, Leave a good-looking corpse, eh?

NoahAmin · 12/09/2009 13:03

oh you KNOW you old boot

is it a sign of age when makeup applied at 6 45am is VITAL

BitOfFun · 12/09/2009 13:06

I put a lippie and a concealer in my handbag for touch-ups.

purepurple · 12/09/2009 13:08

I don't even have a comb or a mirror in my bag, let alone any make-up.
I am very low maintenance

Guitargirl · 12/09/2009 13:10

Have decided to start wearing more make-up after a photo taken the other day where I looked as though I needed a blood transfusion. Have never managed to find a foundation though that either a) didn't dry my skin so badly it was all peeling off by lunchtime or b) gave me an orange face.

Can see am going to have to make more of an effort judging by what others carry around with them.

Guitargirl · 12/09/2009 13:12

Like the sound of that mineral powder foundation...

missmelly · 12/09/2009 13:29

I carry round a couple of lip glosses and that's it

Mimi1977 · 12/09/2009 13:34

I keep all my make up in the top drawer of my dressing table and then if I'm out for a full day i take whatever colour eyeshadow I'm wearing and my bases and mascara to touch up.

Sagacious · 12/09/2009 13:38

I chuck a lip gloss in my pocket (lip balm in summer) It I get a bit shiny I blot with loo roll.

But I'm very minimal: mascara and a dab of cheek tint in the morning maybe eyeliner but I use urban decay's 24/7 and that does not move.
