What would you wear?

To a weekday lunch in a lovely restaurant (Gordon Ramsay-esque). I am a contractor and it could lead to work, but not a business meeting per se, so a suit feels inappropriate. I am overseas ? it is Spring here and should be mid 20s, tho could rain.

Oh, am size 10-12, blonde, fair skin, good norks, but more thinking along the lines of overall look ? will linen trews and shirt be smart enough amongst pinstripe types? Is that too fuddy duddy? What would be ?on-trend?? Thanks, oh wise ones?

I would always say a dress. Smart but not too officey.

I think the linen trousers and shirt will be a good look. Team it with some statement jewellery, necklace or bracelet NOT both. Sounds lovely. Have a big bag where you can stash a brolly just in case it does rain, then you are not lumbered with a coat if it is nice. Makes you look organised and practical too

Agree with a suit looking perhaps a bit much.

I'd say a dress too with nice (not suit) jacket or cardi.

A wrapover dress is always good.

Hmm... OK. Yes, dress might be better. Would maybe suit my shape better too.

Colours I should be looking for? Can I do bare legs?
