Silver teething necklace: love it, but $279? Are they high?

I think it's a brilliant idea and would LOVE something similar to entertain teething DD on a long-haul flight. She's constantly pulling at my necklaces and I suspect she would like this.

But $279?? Oh HELL no!

Surely there must be a cheaper alternative??

hehe it's an easy market, new mums and their babies

can you just tie a normal teething necklace round your neck??

good idea though

LOL, surely that would not look quite so put-together with my smart attire?

Perhaps I should just get a dangly gold clown and pretend it's for fashion?

you can get much much cheaper ones. about £20.

I should maybe think of getting something similar but not for $279, we're taking our teething 8mth old to Thailand next month

Riven, I agree... but where?

I've been racking my brains. It was an earth mothery type company that was big when my teens were little. Will see if I can find it.

Thanks so much! I've found wooden and stone ones, but I am a bit worried that, since DD has four teeth already (two bottom and two vampire), she will manage to scrape bits of wood off and swallow them or chip her teeth on the stone. Silver would give just enough to have teeth marks . The one I posted mentions the cool metal being soothing and I can see that too.

If you can't find anything I may see if I can locate a silversmith on etsy willing to do some work
