Yes it is.

Although I beleive the likes of Lily Allen are very keen on Barbour these days, so perhaps not.

CybilLiberty · 02/09/2009 20:27

In black, I could see it's potential merits. But not Barbour Green.

southeastastra · 02/09/2009 20:27

that is very horsey vs motorcycle outfit

Boco · 02/09/2009 20:28

It looks a bit pervy to me. A bit more Van Helsing than country.

I worry that living in the country has driven me mad because I look longingly at wicker baskets.

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 02/09/2009 20:30

reptillian, biker, horseman chic, not a good look

AuroraB · 02/09/2009 20:30

ha ha, it's true. step away from the barbour aurora

boco i have some wicker baskets, very useful for country stuff like logs and apples that wii rot before i make any pies

I like the country ladies who have pretty lined wicker baskets over their arms when they wander around the farmer's markets buying chutney. I don't even have any chutney actually.

IrishDraught · 02/09/2009 20:32

I am after a barbour padded jacket in green, but then I am horsey so can get away with it What's wrong with it? Please don't tell me barbour has been hijacked too by 'slebs [sob]

bibbitybobbityhat · 02/09/2009 20:34

o.m.f.g.

yes, sadly, you appear to have completely lost it .

Heated · 02/09/2009 20:37

Very bikerish and a complete no-no if your larger than a C cup.

southeastastra · 02/09/2009 20:38

barbour has a very boring website doesn't it

midnightexpress · 02/09/2009 20:39

IrishDraught I'm afraid it's true

CMOTdibbler · 02/09/2009 20:39

After 3 months it will smell. All waxed jackets do, and what happens is that you sit down somewhere and after 10 minutes it warms up and then there are whiffs of it coming off.

I wore waxed jackets when I lived at home for practical reasons, and all price ranges do it

Barbour was hijacked years ago

CarrieDababi · 02/09/2009 20:41

omg that is awful

DO NOT buy that!

midnightexpress · 02/09/2009 20:41

Peaches wears one. Nuff said.

lolapoppins · 02/09/2009 20:42

Yikes!

CarrieDababi · 02/09/2009 20:43

oh i like peaches over the knee socks.

wouldn't weat them myself, however i would like too

CarrieDababi · 02/09/2009 20:43

opps wear them i mean!

Leeka · 02/09/2009 20:49

my trendy shoreditch sister has that jacket, she wears it when she visits us in the depths of nowhere and looks most uncountrified. i don't know if that will encourage you to buy or not!

Rollmops · 02/09/2009 22:46

Barbour is worn for practicality, not for fashion. Simple.
