Yes it is.

Although I beleive the likes of Lily Allen are very keen on Barbour these days, so perhaps not.

It looks a bit pervy to me. A bit more Van Helsing than country.

I worry that living in the country has driven me mad because I look longingly at wicker baskets.

boco i have some wicker baskets, very useful for country stuff like logs and apples that wii rot before i make any pies

I like the country ladies who have pretty lined wicker baskets over their arms when they wander around the farmer's markets buying chutney. I don't even have any chutney actually.

After 3 months it will smell. All waxed jackets do, and what happens is that you sit down somewhere and after 10 minutes it warms up and then there are whiffs of it coming off.

I wore waxed jackets when I lived at home for practical reasons, and all price ranges do it

Barbour was hijacked years ago

my trendy shoreditch sister has that jacket, she wears it when she visits us in the depths of nowhere and looks most uncountrified. i don't know if that will encourage you to buy or not!
