so ive got a few day time/early evening dates coming up and i want to wear a dress.

I cant seem to find anything i like and could do with some help.
Im 31, 5ft3 and a size 12/14. I dont want anything too dressy becuase of the times of the dates... but still want to look nice.. but not overdressed.
Plus - what do i do with my legs? not sure if it will be too cold ( two weeks away) for bare legs...??
help?

Dates as in romantic dates? Lucky you!

What's your budget? What's your colouring? Any idea what you'll be doing?

shoptilidrop · 02/09/2009 16:26

yep - romantic dates..!!! LOL
dont want to spend a huge amount really....
ive got long dark hair and currently have a tan.
Just pub, probably meal with one or two of them......
am thinking i should just save the bother and wear jeans... ive got lots of nice shoes... so would just need a new top.......
but i did want to wear a dress really. If they were planned for earlier i would wear one of my summer dresses... but that might look a bit daft mid sept?

would any of your summer dresses work with leggings?

tulpe · 02/09/2009 16:29

also, as long as your dresses aren't "strappy" then I don't see why they wouldn't work mid-September, if you team them with a cardi.

Here are some that I like. All could be made more autumny with a cardie or tights and boots.

pretty floral

Really like this but may be too casual?

blue floral

Someone linked to this the other day after they'd bought it - looks lovely

plainer but would look great with your colouring

this is very nice in the red and the purple

Any of those up your street?

Clure · 02/09/2009 18:08

Bunny it was me who linked to the purple next dress, and yes I can recommend it, it would work with tights/boots or high heels
