don't you just chuck wellies on when it rains?

GrimmaTheNome · 01/09/2009 18:12

A 2 year old can wear absolutely anything with wellies like that!

TheDMshouldbeRivened · 01/09/2009 18:12

any clothes? Do you need to colour co-ordinate with wellies?

CarrieDababi · 01/09/2009 18:13

yes
i was thining of a red top and red wellies with jeans and her little red coat

you are matching wellies?
Do you ( ahem) work?

Tommy · 01/09/2009 18:15

surely you just put the wellies on when it's raining? Whatever she's wearing?

(or am I missing something because I only have boys? )

CarrieDababi · 01/09/2009 18:16

snort @ noah

Slubberdegullion · 01/09/2009 18:17

Carrie, you are overthinking your dd's wardrobe. Your dd doesn't care, and neither really should you.

LastTrainToNowhere · 01/09/2009 18:20

My dd has the exact same wellies. It lives in the car and comes out when we go to the farm/park or if spot some particularly exciting puddles to splash in.

Co-ordinating it with her clothes is something that never occurred to me!

CarrieDababi · 01/09/2009 18:20

i know she doesn't mind at 2.
but she does need some winter clothes though as shes outgrown most of her things.
so i may aswell get things that go

So every time it rains she will have to change into her red top before she goes outside?

CarrieDababi · 01/09/2009 18:20

lol

OP posts:
CarrieDababi · 01/09/2009 18:20

no because she has a red coat

OP posts:
Horton · 01/09/2009 18:21

Just put them on with whatever she's wearing when it rains. Lovely wellies. They will look nice with anything. And noah also made me snort.

CarrieDababi · 01/09/2009 18:22

noah made me laugh too, must admit

suppose this is not the best thread to ask if skinny or boot cut jeans will go best then

This reminds me of my SAHMdom. I spent ages creating a village complete with people and animals from various bottles. (not wine I hasten to add things like fabric conditioner)
He came home to find me getting very excited aat my creations from a yakult bottle. It was suggested I got a job very soon.

CarrieDababi · 01/09/2009 18:24

lol

Wow when dd was 2 her wellies went with everything.
Formal wear, jeans, shorts, pants and vest and a brolly in the garden....it goes on.
(dd was very fond of a pair of wellies she had)

Tommy · 01/09/2009 18:27

I am a SAHM and have never co-ordinated wellies or made a village out of bottles

am I missing something?

NoahFence · 01/09/2009 18:28

i took a photo of home made pizzas

and generally dwelt on things too much

TheDMshouldbeRivened · 01/09/2009 18:28

mine had those green wellies with the frogs eyes. Do they still make those?
And we all passed wellies around at the toddler groups.

CarrieDababi · 01/09/2009 18:29

oh yes the frog ones are still about.
