Sorry, but I need a evening wedding reception dress and lack inspiration...

Realised that I need a dress for Saturday when I'm going to my colleagues evening reception.

I have to take my 3 year old with me (it's a 2.5 hour drive away, DH away, no overnight babysitter), so need something not black that I can get around easily in.

The only thing I have seen that I like is the dreaded Boden, but welcome any other ideas as I don't see myself as a Bodenista

Am tall (5'9) a 12-14, not generous of nork, pale and reddy brown hair. 37.

What about this dress from Warehouse? I have similar colouring to you and I suit purple. I don't think that there would be too many problems with bending over etc in this and it's quite sexy in a subtle way.
