Boots to wear over straight leg jeans

I know Uggs are probably the obvious choice but I am worried that if I buy them this year they will look really dated and they are too expensive to just buy for one winters wear. But I've got a couple of pairs of straight leg jeans which I am more comfortable in than in my skinnies so am looking for something to go with them. Any ideas or are uggs the only option?

Oh I should add that I don't think biker boots would look right on me.

I've had the same black suede zip up boots for the last 10years; zip just breaking now. Cant remember the make though.
But I've just bought new Nike boots in TKMaxx for 29.99. They also had lovely black goretex ones in there.
Both are ugg length but a bit less clumpy.

How about those sugar ones? Is that the make? Cant remember.

Oh not heard of those, I will google, thanks. My pull on ones from 2006 have had it hence I need to replace.

I had primark £6 fake ugg style ones last year but they fell apart (unsurprisingly).

I think I need pull on as have got zip up ones to wear over leggings or tights (or skinny jeans when I feel thin) but need these quite wide. I'll have a look in tk max though-didn't know Nike did boots.
