I see New Look are now selling 80s style bodysuits - would you wear one?

Are they coming back?

I know they're heinous, plus there's all that faff going to the toilet. But I like to wear vests under jumpers and suffer badly from muffin top.

I'm thinking at £6 this might be the answer to my problems...

i used to live in them and have tons, not sure if i want to put myself through that again though . maybe i'll buy one.

Fayrazzled · 28/08/2009 18:50

No- they're uncomfortable as I have a long body. As a result, they pull my largeish bosom into a flattish ledge- not a good look.

MrsBadger · 28/08/2009 18:52

nope

I am still scarred from last time

if i wasn't pg

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 28/08/2009 19:40

I loved them. But the popper in pub toilet thing... And after five pints you would give it up as a bad job and come back with the flap hanging out the back.

GirlsAreLoud · 28/08/2009 19:41

Wow, imagine if they sold supersize ones for pregnant women. I had that evil gap betwixt vest and trousers from about 6 months.

Mind you, imagine doing the poppers up at 9 months pregnant...

yes, not something oyu could ask someone to help you with in a toilet is it

seb1 · 28/08/2009 20:11

Oh God I remember banging my head on a toilet door when trying to fasten mine up , imagine the youth of today trying to fasten their's drunk and with those long stick on nails , ah the joys of youth

deaddei · 28/08/2009 20:30

God yes, trying to faff around with poppers and getting hair and sometimes important body bits caught up in them......
I had a boyfriend who loved me wearing them, and bought me really posh ones from Fogel- he used to turn up at work with them for me.
Don't think I'll be wearing them 2nd time round- I have a long body and they would give me a wedgie, as ds would say.

flier · 28/08/2009 20:32

I used to really like them, but I didn't have norkage then. Think it would be good for my muffin top though

LadyPinkofPinkerton · 28/08/2009 20:56

Ooh I really liked them, but never experienced the pub toilet thing due to being less than a teenager at the time. I wonder whether to head over to New Look and try them.

If my post makes no sense it is due to the wine I have drunk

slowreadingprogress · 28/08/2009 21:03

don't faff with the poppers - just pull 'em to the side while you have a pee

problem solved

I'd buy one, think they look nice

flier · 28/08/2009 21:07

was just about to post the same, slowreadingprogress. I never had a problem with the poppers, cos that what I used to do, but you need to get ones that are stretchy enough to be able to do that, I remember some of the cheaper ones didn't have enough stretch.

GirlsAreLoud · 29/08/2009 14:02

Right, I'm going to go to town today and do the deed.

And look for the ultra stretchy ones

nooooooo

GirlsAreLoud · 29/08/2009 14:03

but cheesesarnie iirc you are very slender and unlikely to understand the pain of living with a muffin top.

SausageRocket · 29/08/2009 14:04

no

but then I'm not into the mega tight tshirt tucked into trousers look anyway.

GirlsAreLoud · 29/08/2009 14:05

I just want something to wear under a jumper that won't hang out undeneath my jumper and won't stop at the top of my jeans either.

OP posts:
SausageRocket · 29/08/2009 14:06

I remember them being quite sweaty too.

GirlsAreLoud · 29/08/2009 14:09

True. I remember that.

These are just vests with poppers though.

I'm ging to give it a try, they're only £6.
