I bought it a month after meeting my boyfriend, so I was relatively shag-skinny, it's a DP 14.

It's now too tight but still beautiful.I have 48 hours worth of will power - health be blowed, get me into this skirt!!!!!!!

Drink shed loads of water. Avoid salty foods. Both these things will help reduce any fluid retention you have around the tum.

Erm........not sure what else you can do!

Wear a different one!

I know that's not what you want to hear, but...

Or drink lots of water, soup and smoothies for a couple of days. And then there's a vague possibility that you'll fit it, and you'll also become horrifically bladdered within seconds of having your first drink (thus not giving a shit about what you're wearing anyway)

I managed to lose a few pounds the other week by only having breakfast and dinner, no lunch. It did all come off my belly too.

Congrats on the bf

colditz · 26/08/2009 23:26

I want a slightly thinner tummy.

I also need a'pre going out' meal that won't bloat me.

Wear a different one if it doesn't look or feel right, or else it'll bug you the whole time you're wearing it.

I read a tip that Elle McPherson bathes in Epsom Salts and apparently that helps to rid some of the fluid. Have never tried it so cannot comment on it except to say that is what I heard.

What about fat pants?

colditz · 26/08/2009 23:28

I've just tried it on, it's tight but not uncomfortably so- it'snot stretchy at all though, no forgiiveness there.

The bf is ace and he won't notice if I'm bulgy, he'll be too busy trying to put his hand up it [gross-but-smug-]

colditz · 26/08/2009 23:30

Actually I could pull it off in the right top.

like this

NervousNutty · 26/08/2009 23:31

Hmm ime the sucky in pants just send the fat elsewhere and give you stomach ache, but that might just be me.

colditz · 26/08/2009 23:31

Sorry, skirt is similar to that, but flouncier

OP posts:
NervousNutty · 26/08/2009 23:32

Ohh I really like that.

FluppetOfGloom · 26/08/2009 23:32

But terrible pant-irony in that they are not what you want to be wearing on a date, don't you think?

I had some on on New Years Eve. Looked a million dollars. Ended up in a clinch with Very Hot Man. Scarpered the minute his hands went north. Duh.

colditz · 26/08/2009 23:33

this is it

FluppetOfGloom · 26/08/2009 23:34

Nice skirt

colditz · 26/08/2009 23:34

no I cannot wear big pants.I don'town any and can't afford tobuy them.

I will try the less salt, more liquid thing.

Also, what sort of top should I wear with my lovely lovely skirt?

OP posts:
cornsillk · 26/08/2009 23:34

I have sucky in pants that go all the way up to my norks and are shorts at the bottom so spread it all out nicely. 200 sit ups a day till you go out. Can you find time to swim or something? What about that waterfall stuff that's meant to get rid of all retained fluid as well? I keep meaning to try that to see if it makes a difference.

colditz · 26/08/2009 23:35

And also getting laid is practically guaranteed. I want to wear cheeky french knickers and stockings, not Bridget jones hold alls

OP posts:
cornsillk · 26/08/2009 23:36

oooops just seen sucky pants out of the question. What about tights then? They suck my tum in a bit.

colditz · 26/08/2009 23:39

I think it will have to be the tights, but I find they roll down to the waist of the skirt, creating even more pressure and a sausage effect.

It's not the under the skirt bit that bothers me, it's a flouncy skirt and covers sins quite well - it's the muffinyness of that above.

OP posts:
cornsillk · 26/08/2009 23:40

Leave a button undone then. Or move the button slightly over so it's a bit less tight.
