Dress too clingy - VPL and other issues. Can I do anything ??

I am 25 weeks pg and I've got a christening to go to on Sunday.

I have bought this Isabella Oliver wrap dress to wear.

It looks great from the front - nice bump, good norks etc. but the fabric is quite thin and is a light colour so it looks really clingy from the back. It gives me really bad vpl (even with a thong) and I swear you can even see cellulite on the bum/thighs through the fabric

Is there anything I can wear underneath ? Are underskirts/slips still around ? Or is there some type of maternity spanx type thing which might work ? Or do I need to ditch the dress and wear something else (easier said than done tbh)

Maternity Spanx

Slip. I swear by the M&S slips - they are super stretchy and make everything just slide over them really well

Perhaps a slip would make a difference. Try M&S or John Lewis.

IME, thongs can give worse vpl in a jersey dress than bigger knickers. I bought some anti-vpl knickers from M&S recently. They are seam-free and have unfinished edges. They are not support pants. I know they are deeply unsexy in the flesh but actually under a dress they give a better finish and negate my need for spanx type knickers simply because they do not cut my mummy-tummy in half but finish on my waist.

I had some enormous pants when pg from Blooming Marvellous which were similar. Hang on, will see if there are any there for you!

Nope, sorry. Blooming Marvellous do have the over-the-bump knickers but they are high cut rather than more short-like.

Thanks .... Hopefully a trip to M&S might sort it.
