My dd really wants these shoes but the style is too deep for her foot (?) Can anyone help me track down similar shoes - patent, girlie and with flashing lights?

TIA

are all Clarks shoes too deep? DD has a similar style from Clarks, not patent but has flashing lights. She tried on the same ones as your DD but said they were uncomfortable.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 25/08/2009 18:32

they dont fit your requirements anyway, but dont get these shoes here
We got them for DD on the Sat, took them back on the Monday because the rubber on the soles was coming off already.

S1ur · 25/08/2009 18:32

oh that's interesting... I don't know whether they were all too deep, I suspect not - It's a bit of a toss-up as to which is more vitally important flashing lights or shininess

DD said the shiny ones were uncomfortable, so we got the ones in my link, DH took them back and DD has settled for the non shiny version of the ones in your link
Oddly - we got a pair of patent ones (different style) last time, and the following day DD played merry hell saying they were hurting her feet.

crokky · 25/08/2009 18:47

Could you get a pair of shoe insoles to see if that would help with the depth?

MmmEggs · 25/08/2009 18:51

We get to do this next week. High instep causes lots of fun and whinging.

S1ur · 25/08/2009 19:00

ooh yeah insoles I wonder if that would work....

I have been googling and found... well basically John Lewis

here

here shiny with a bow

shiny with a butterfly

... but no flashing lights siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh

My dd wanted the exact pair of flashing clarks shoes but also found the sides too high and said they hurt her feet. Sounds like it could be a bit of a design flaw then if several of us on here have experienced the same problem?

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 25/08/2009 19:20

I want a pair of flashy light shoes... for me

bubblegumsupermum · 25/08/2009 19:23

worzella · 25/08/2009 19:23

Hi Elf - we have had 2 pairs of those purple clarks ones - both were taken back because of the soles falling apart - the first pair after 10 days and the other after 24 hours! Have now got lovely startright ones!

worzella · 25/08/2009 19:25

sorry - Startrite!

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 25/08/2009 19:39

I couldn't believe how bad the sole were on the purple shoes!

Lelli Kelly do some patent school shoes, don't think they have any with lights but they are still rather gimmicky I've heard they're very comfortable and well made.

Have seen lots of patent school shoes in m&s too.
