I have ordered the Waitrose bottom butter - what to expect? Do I just slap it on?

I ordered some yesterday after hearing people rave about it, and at that price, I thought worth a go. Plus I have used the last of my expensive night creme and thought this could be a replacement?

But, is it gooey? Cremey? Do I slap it on, or just apply a smidge? Apply to whole face or just particular areas? Can i use on neck?

I have to say that after all the raving about it (for faces) it took me ages to get hold of some.........I then bought 2 pots but found it unbelievably greasy and only used it twice!

Oh.....no don't have dry skin - maybe this will not be a good purchase after all!

Well at like a few quid I won't loose any sleep over it. Would rather that then buy something from Estee Lauder and it be rubbish

only use it if you fancy the spotty teenager look. i should know, i tried, and it took me weeks to get rid of all the spots

I've never put it on my face, but it does marvels for my feet and knees

I use it, but only when the weather is quite severe (windy or cold). Then I apply a smidge, basically if your face feels greasy then you've used too much. I apply it more frequently and more generously to my neck, decolletage and around the eyes (although sometimes I use this around my eyes instead).

I used to have dry, flakey and sore skin and the more moisturisers I used the worse it felt but when I changed to my current cleanser I found that I didn't really need a moisturiser at all. When I do need a moisturiser then bottom butter is the one least likely to bring back the sore flakey patches.

It's really good if you get dry elbows.

It's a bit gloopy for that Thandeka, you'd probably be better off with a water-based lube.

I love it as a face moisturiser.

I use it as a night cream (do have dry skin though) and love it.

Got stopped by one of those beauty counter ladies in Debenhams the other day, trying to flog me all sorts of Elizabeth Arden night creams and eye creams. She asked what I use and how old I was, I told her, and she made an impressed noise and said I should stick with what I'm doing

Was so chuffed I bought a mascara and lipgloss from her...
