My feet are hideous, is there ANYTHING I can do :-(

They are truly disgusing, my toes are like fingers complete with knuckles.
There are round hard reddish bits of thickened skin on the 'knuckle' just above the nail.
Other than surgery is there anything I can do?

Put some slippers on then you can't see them

lilacclaire · 20/08/2009 22:59

I do already, I long to wear lovely open toed shoes and look all ladylike.

get ped egg and moisturiser.

I can't quite envisage what you're describing... (fingers for toes is a bit too weird for my tired brain! ).

Have you ever had a pedicure? Or perhaps you could see a podiatrist if it's quite serious.

coldasanewrazorblade · 20/08/2009 23:04

You need to stop wearing closed toe shoes, that's what's causing the thickened skin on top of the toe.
I wear Birkenstocks, not especially ladylike, but much better for the feet.

Haven't tried the Ped Egg, but a foot file of some sort and a good moisturiser. Sort your cuticles out and file the nails neatly.

Feet are what they are, but they will look better if you treat them kindly.

Some scuffing and moisturising isn't going to help these bad boys.
Just googled and I obviously have 'mallet toe' which requires orthapedic surgery!!!!!
Think i'll stick to the slippers!

Have a proper pedicure, regularly. Makes such a difference.

lilacclaire · 20/08/2009 23:07
